Laundry Manager - Manchester.

Job Title: Laundry Manager.

Reporting To: Managing Director.

Salary: Competitive, subject to experience.

Job Purpose: To take responsibility for the day to day running of Laundry and Linen hire service.

Poisition Availability: Open.

The Laundry Manager will answer to the Managing Director and be tasked with keeping the site running to maximum efficiency. The role will require a positive attitude and an ambition to have all the staff on site maximising their potential. The Laundry Manager will be responsible for all production onsite and will be tasked with maintaining and improving the current levels of efficiency on-site.

The Linen Group is a fast growing company, so a competitive nature and passion for success is crucial. The Laundry Manager must be able to respond quickly to any potential issues in the production line. The laundry industry is a fast moving and reactive environment so any applicants must come from a fast moving industry and be used to dealing with a quick turnaround on product orders. This person will ideally come from an FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) or laundry manufacturing/production background, and will be able to display the following attributes:

• Personel management experience essential
• A drive to improve and implement KPIs which will increase the production efficiency levels
• Strong communication skills across all levels
• Evidence of up skilling a labour force
• A good level of IT literacy
• A desire to progress within the company

Accountabilities:

To recruit, train, monitor and discipline staff to maintain standards and consistency of delivery as directed within the law and engage staff in the departmental objective process ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsible for the monitoring of all costs within the Laundry/Linen hire including staff costs, and to produce and work within budget; whilst handling customers linen in line with company procedures.

Using information available, plan and control both the preparation of future shifts and effective communication to the team, and other relevant departments, to ensure standards are met

To take appropriate action and co-operate with your team colleagues to maintain a safe and equitable working environment whilst being sensitive to, and aware of, business/staffing levels in order to maintain a disciplined but harmonious department

To ensure any customer requests and complaints are handled effectively and any outside your area of expertise are raised immediately to the appropriate level

To work within all company policies with specific reference to the Health and Safety at Work Act.
